Using mirrors as decorative fixtures

Using mirrors to decorate living space has been around for centuries and is one of the most easiest ways to set up a regal atmosphere and create an illusion of space within the available space. They can be used almost anywhere including living room, dining room, bedroom, etc as design features.

Using bold patterned mirrors as the focal point of the rooms can help set up a desirable art work. This simple addition can help reflect light within the room, and can add a sense of expansiveness. Adding mirrors can also help play a visual trick in way that enables you to give your room an “expanded feel”.

You can also go bold and install a full length, floor to ceiling mirror. But this is recommended only for areas that are already quite large. Mirrors can also de-clutter your space, thanks to the odd illusion of space it creates. You can also experiment with multiple mirrors, placing them at strategic locations, especially in places without much natural light to reflect light from a different part of the space. Such artificial lighting techniques will not only look good but will also help reduce the electricity bill as well.
